The balances differ. The report does not establish the cause.
NOK 15,000 was already present at the start of the month. Period movements increase the difference by NOK 10,000.

How to check intercompany balances in Conta.
Select the companies and accounts
The accountant approves two different companies and balance-sheet accounts dedicated to this counterparty. Both sets of books and all selected positions must be in NOK.
Check the full month
Retrieve opening balances, movements and closing balances. Detail lines are checked against movements, and balances are retrieved again afterwards.
Review the report
Download HTML, CSV and JSON with balances, source IDs and unresolved lines. Manual runs and monthly runs for the last completed month are prepared.
Balance agreement is not
a completed reconciliation.
- Missing, failed or inconsistent data produces an incomplete check. It is never replaced with zero.
- Equal balances do not prove that all transactions are included. Unresolved lines are not confirmed bookkeeping errors.
- Candidate suggestions require a confirmed shared invoice reference, equal opposite amounts and dates within the selected window. Amount alone is never enough.
- Duplicates, split settlements, reversals and corrections require review. Mixed-counterparty accounts and currency conversion are outside scope.
- Retrieving balances again detects some changes during the run. It does not provide an atomic historical snapshot.
Read data.
Keep control.
The workflow only makes GET requests to selected Conta endpoints. It does not post entries, make payments or send email. No AI or OCR is used.
The Conta key inherits the user's privileges and is not inherently read-only. Store your own keys in n8n credentials, never in the workflow file.
Reports contain accounting data and must remain private. Before enabling monthly runs, approve access and retention in n8n.
Free code.
Setup to suit your needs.
The source code and template use the MIT license. You need n8n, access to both Conta companies and the required Conta subscriptions. Any n8n hosting and provider costs are additional.
Bjorvand AI can help with account selection, setup, testing and customization. Pricing, any hosting and ongoing support are agreed after the scope is established.

What do we need to test with our own Conta data?
Two authorized Conta companies, your own API keys in n8n and separate balance-sheet accounts dedicated to this relationship. Both sets of books and the selected positions must be in NOK. The accountant approves the accounts, and results must be checked against Conta reports before monthly runs are enabled.
What do the template and setup assistance cost?
The source code and template are free under the MIT license. Setup, testing and customization are priced according to the agreed scope. Any hosting, support, n8n and required Conta subscriptions are additional. We agree the deliverables and price before work starts.
Does the pilot work with n8n Cloud?
n8n Cloud has not been verified. The pilot has been tested locally with synthetic data on self-hosted n8n 2.39.6. Testing against two authorized Conta companies also remains outstanding. Before use with your own accounts, both the report evidence and your n8n environment must be validated.
What will we get from the discovery call?
In 20 minutes, we review your current process, the companies and accounts involved, and what needs testing. You will clarify whether a pilot fits and what the next step involves. The call is free, with no obligation. You do not need to share API keys or accounting files to book.
